New Producers – Discover a host of new producers and new wines:

Yohan Lardy is a winemaker to watch from a region we love – Beaujolais. Working with just 2HA of vineyards planted in 1911 and 1950, winemaking is in Lardy’s blood, his father owns a domaine in Fleurie, and his love of viticulture has taken him to Oregon and Chile on winemaking forays. Elegant and expressive, these terroir driven wines are beginning to bring Beaujolais the attention it deserves. Moulin-a-Vent Les Michelons 2014 is a vibrant wine with a fine tannin structure, while the Fleurie La Vivier 2016 offers floral notes and bright red fruits.

Raimat – an all-female winemaking team led by Elisabeth Figueras are spearheading the renaissance of this Costers del Segre winery. A dozen wines make up the Raimat portfolio which has a fresh new look targeting today’s wine drinkers, providing clear advice on wine style and food pairing, together with bright and engaging packaging. Taste the Raimat Rosado 2016 a delightful blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo.

Orion – a dynamic Italian duo, Winemaker Alessandro Michelon and Lucca Pomaro established Orion Wines in 2010. With a host of wine producing friends they quickly established a portfolio of fun and innovative wine ranges using high quality indigenous varieties coupled with bold and distinctive packaging.
We’ll be pouring Zensa Fiano 2016 and Tannu Nero d’Avola 2015 two great examples of their organic winemaking knowhow.

Chateau Maris – A new addition this spring is Robert Eden’s biodynamic winery, Chateau Maris. Based in Minervois, Robert is a passionate environmentalist and everything at Chateau Maris is produced and functions with the environment in mind. The wines are vibrant and fruit forward, but also offer fantastic balance and complexity. Two Syrah Grenache blends are complimented by a delicate Grenache Rosé de Nymphe 2016.
