Monday 18th May

11-12noon – “Marlborough Unearthed” with Babich Wines
In celebration of Babich’s 100th vintage, Dinah Kinnear will present a range of Babich Sauvignon Blancs hailing from different Marlborough microclimates. Wairau and Awatere, and Waihopai Valleys will feature.

3-4pm – Join Frans Smit, Spier Wines, Head Cellarmaster for a vertical tasting of Creative Block 2 and Creative Block 3
This tasting will showcase Creative Block 2 – a Bordeaux Blend sourced from coastal vineyards in Tygerberg, Stellenbosch and Darling – together with its partner Creative Block 3, a Rhone inspired blend.

Tuesday 19th May
11-12noon– Brown Brothers – Cool Victoria

Join Duncan Brown for a true taste of Victoria. Brown Brothers’ elegant Banksdale and Patricia Chardonnays from the King and Yarra Valleys will be showcased alongside their flagship sparkling wine Patricia, and the classic Brut NV, the most awarded sparkling wine in Australia. A great tasting to discover cool climate Victoria!

3-4pm – Vina Ventisquero presents “Vertice”
This tasting represents a fascinating chance to taste the effects of ageing on Chilean Syrah/ Carmenere. A result of the creative partnership between Felipe Tosso and John Duval, Vertice has been highly awarded, with the 2011 winning the Best Chilean Red Blend Regional Trophy in this year’s Decanter World Wine Awards. Winemaker Alejandro Gazal will be on hand to guide you through four vintages of the wine.
