Malbec in the Making – a chance to host your own Catena Malbec blending evening

Bodega Catena Zapata is one of Argentina’s leading wineries. The proud recipient of three separate trophies at the 2016 IWC awards, they are well known throughout the world for their elegant and expressive high-altitude Malbec.

Over the next few months, they’ll be teaming up with Independent Wine Merchants throughout the UK to deliver a series of fun and informative masterclasses for consumers. Guests will gain a unique insight into how Catena Alta Malbec is made, by tasting its individual components before blending. They’ll learn about the differences in flavour from four different high-altitude vineyards ranging between 3,000 and 4,750ft, and discover the unique aromas and flavours they bring to the final wine. Finally, they’ll have a chance to use these components to blend their own version and see how it stands up to the ‘real’ Catena Alta…

How does it work?
The masterclasses will be run by Catena’s UK Brand Ambassador Carola de la Fuente and will be open to groups of 12-20. All you have to do is arrange a date, provide the space and promote the event to your customers.

What will it cost?
All wines required will be specially shipped from Argentina, with costs covered by Bodega Catena Zapata, and no cost to you.
