Fitz is a sparkling wine from England, but not as you know it. Made using the Charmat method from a blend of grapes sourced from various counties, this fun, fruity fizz is Prosecco-like in taste and price.
Why did they call it Fitz? Because it bucks the trend; it goes against the norm – as in old times, a bastard child of nobility was given the surname Fitz-Henry or Fitz-Gerald.
