No longer part of Cava, Llopart are a family winery producing top quality Spanish sparkling wine organically and in the traditional (Champagne) method.

One of the nine ‘breakaway’ producers who have formed their own brand, Corpinnat, Llopart aimed to differentiate themselves from some of the low-quality sparkling wine allowed by Cava DO.

While this presents an exciting new phase for the estate, the wines really are the star of the show. Beautifully acidic, with white-fleshed fruits and toasted nuts on the palate, they are delicate and creamy expressions of this woefully underrated Spanish wine. Plus with them being 100% certified organic, what’s not to like!

The roots of Llopart can be traced all the way back to 1385, when Llopart ancestor Bernardus Leopardi was granted some vineyards in the Subirats region of Catalonia. And the importance of family is still strong today, with Pere Llopart keenly watching over their wines even in his 89th year.
