Spring 2016 Promotions
It’s starting to look (and feel) a lot like spring, as daffodils create swathes of colour in the parks and the clocks are set to tick forward at the end of the month.
With the temperatures rising, we’re excited by the prospect of drinking wines with a little more freshness and acidity. Wines with energy… vivacious wines! With this in mind we’ve put together a great selection of spring offers.
Think bright and zesty Torrontes from Salta in Argentina, citrus-laced Pinot Grigio from Alto Adige and a zippy and mouthwatering Albarino from Uruguayan producer, Bodega Garzon.
Critically-acclaimed Rioja
Our spring promotions include the Cosme Palacio range, available at 10% off. The delicious Cosme Palacio Tinto Crianza was recently awarded 90 points in Wine Advocate and was also included in the Top 100 list of Wines from Spain in 2015. The Cosme Palacio Reserva was furthermore awarded 92 points in Wine Spectator. With 10% off, these wines offer brilliant value for money.
Spotlight on Chile
Looking to Chile, our spring promotions include 7 cases for 6 on the Vina Ventisquero Reserva Range of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Merlot.
Vina Ventisquero is one of Chile’s most progressive producers, offering quality at a range of prices, from their entry level Classico range to a selection of Icon wines produced in partnership with John Duval, one of Australia’s top winemakers. The Reserva Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay are both sourced from cool climate Casablanca, while the fruit-forward Reserva Merlot comes from the Maipo valley, considered to be the home of Chilean viticulture.
These are great value wines and a great introduction to what Chile has to offer.
Taste of Provence
A jewel in the Provence crown, Chateau Leoube was established over 20 years ago and is situated in one of the world’s most beautiful locations, the Cote d’Azur. A 560 ha site in the village of Bormes-les-Mimosas, the estate was purchased by the Bamford family and today produces a range of still and sparkling wines.
Rosé de Leoube and Secret de Leoube are quintessentially Provence: in their colour, presentation and most importantly, their taste. Winemaker Romain Ott works with Grenache and Cinsault for Rosé de Leoube, adding Syrah and Mourvedre to the blend. This is a beautifully balanced wine, with supple fruit and a clean mineral finish. Secret de Leoube is made in a slightly drier style with the addition of 20% Cabernet Sauvignon from 65 year old vines. A perfect food wine, it has an excellent structure and fruit weight.
For our spring promotions we’ve joined forces with Chateau Leoube to offer you the chance to win two places at Taste of Provence, hosted by the Cookery School at Daylesford. Immerse yourself in the flavour and essence of the Mediterranean, while preparing dishes to pair with the Chateau Leoube wines. When you purchase a case of either Rosé de Leoube or Secret de Leoube, you will be entered in the prize draw to win two places at Taste of Provence.
This is only a snapshot of our spring promotions – contact your Account Manager for more on these offers, which go live on Friday 1 April 2016.
