Low And No Alcohol Drinks Collection 2020
With the festivities behind us and the new decade kicking off with a bang, more and more consumers aim to cut their alcohol intake by switching to low or no alcoholic drinks, and not only in January. The shift towards a healthier lifestyle means that low and no alcoholic drinks are set to be one of the biggest trends of 2020. With that in mind, here are some of our favourite picks to ring in the New Year on a lighter note:
Low Alcohol Wine
Joh. Bapt. Schafer Pittermannchen Riesling Kabinett 2018
Joh. Bapt. Schafer follows a low-intervention philosophy in both vineyard and winery. The Pittermannchen Kabinett is produced through selective handpicking, gentle pressing, spontaneous fermentation and maturation. Aromas of herbs and ripe yellow fruit are followed by a beautiful balance of sweetness and acidity.
Robert Weil Rheingau Riesling Kabinett 2017
Weingut Robert Weil produces Rieslings of great authenticity with a distinctive profile, offering exquisite minerality, gorgeous texture and floral characteristics. Light and lovely, this Riesling is balanced with a bright acidity, lacy natural sweetness and notes of exotic fruits.
Spy Valley Easy Tiger Sauvignon Blanc 2018
Marlborough, New Zealand
Located up the road from a US government listening post (hence the name), Spy Valley is one of Marlborough’s most acclaimed wineries, producing top-quality terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc, among others. Crisp and lively, the Easy Tiger has aromas and flavours of tropical fruit and a zesty herbal edge.
Millton Opou Riesling 2016
Gisborne, New Zealand
Artisan winegrower in Gisborne, James and Annie Millton are as biodynamic as you get, with their winery located on the banks of the Te Arai River, near Manutuke. The Opou Riesling has notes of citrus fruit and honeyed spice, with a beautiful balance and fresh acidity.
Josef Chromy Delikat Riesling 2017
Josef Chromy has been the driving force behind the Tasmanian wine scene, achieving over 14 awards and 170 medals in just a few years. The Delikat is a complex and delicate wine with flavours of rose and citrus, and a fine acidic profile.
Vietti Cascinetta Moscato d’Asti 2018
The Vietti family has been producing wine for four generations in Castiglione Falletto, at the heart of the Barolo area. Slightly sparkling and sweet, this Moscato d’Asti has intense aromas of peaches, rose petals and ginger with notes of baked pear.
Low Alcohol Beer
The Original Small Beer
A staple of British daily life in the 1700’s, small beer was traditionally brewed between 0.5 – 2.8% ABV. As clean drinking water was made more available in the 19th century, the need for small beer passed and the art of its creation was lost. Today, using sustainable brewing methods, Small Beer Brew Co. is committed to reinvigorating a liquid that was once at the very heart of society.
The Original Small Beer Lager
Refreshingly packed with hop and malt flavours.
The Original Small Beer Lager
A balance of rich coffee, chocolate and toast.
In 1600, it was common for physicians to distil herbal remedies using copper stills, harnessing the power of nature to cure illness. Centuries later, Ben Branson stumbled across the recipes and began experimenting with them. After many hours in the kitchen, Seedlip was born.
Seedlip Spice 94
Aromatic with spicy citrus flavours.
Seedlip Grove 42
Orange peel and grassy notes.
Seedlip Garden 108
Floral and herbal.
