With Lockdown due to end in England on Thursday, December 3rd, Walker & Wodehouse will be returning to normal delivery schedules on Thursday 26th November, giving you time to get ready for Christmas. Your normal order cut-offs, lead times and delivery days will apply.
Our current interim lockdown-schedule will continue to operate for deliveries up to and including, Wednesday 25th November.
Subject to further detail on regional restrictions, we expect to reopen our Orders and Customer Care phone lines on Monday, 30th November. In the meantime, we are able to receive orders via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Our Customer Care team are also available by email at email@example.com.
Naturally, we take the safety and welfare of our customers and colleagues very seriously, and we continue to monitor and comply with government advice. See the latest government guidance stating that “off-licences and licensed shops selling alcohol, including those within breweries” are excepted from the shutdown and can stay open.
The Walker & Wodehouse offices will be closed from Friday 20th March onward. The staff will be working remotely to support our customers in any way we can.
Our customers should, at this time, expect some small operational changes. These changes are being made to ensure the welfare of our colleagues, customers and suppliers and to follow government guidelines regarding exercising caution and taking appropriate steps to keep everyone safe.
Our Contact Centre has now reopened. We are able to take orders and customer care enquiries via telephone, as well as email.
Sunday & Bank Holiday Ordering
We will not be opening our Contact Centre for Sunday or Bank Holiday orders until further notice.
Our delivery partner Tradeteam will be taking extra steps to keep both their drivers and our customers safe. This includes changes to our electronic proof of delivery handsets. To avoid the need to pass handsets between drivers and customers, you will be given a paper off-loading check sheet to mark and sign for their delivery. The driver will then photograph the off-loading check sheet, leaving the hard copy with you. As usual, please ensure any damaged, missing or refused items are clearly marked on the check sheet before the driver’s photograph is taken.
Deliveries in London will be made via Tradeteam, Monday to Friday. Order cut-off is now 3:30pm, and we will be aiming to deliver as many orders as possible on the next working day. However, some deliveries may take a little longer. We will confirm your delivery day as soon as it is possible after your order is placed, and are planning for all deliveries to arrive between 10am and 5pm.
Home Counties and some surrounding areas
We will deliver via Tradeteam to all postcodes at least twice per week. Please contact your Account Manager for details on specific postcode areas. All order cut-offs remain unchanged. We will aim to deliver as many orders as possible on the next working day. However, some deliveries may take a little longer. We will confirm your delivery day as soon as it is possible after your order is placed, and are planning for all deliveries to arrive between 10am and 5pm.
The rest of England and Wales
Deliveries will be made Monday to Friday by Palletways. Order cut-off times remain unchanged. We aim to deliver as many orders as possible on a Day 1 for Day 3 basis. However, some deliveries may take a little longer. We will confirm your delivery as soon as it is possible after your order is placed, all are planning for all deliveries to arrive between 9am and 5pm.
We will be delivering to Scotland once a week. All received by Tuesday 12 noon will be delivered on Thursday. We will confirm this delivery day as soon as it is possible after your order is placed. We are planning for all deliveries to arrive between 9am and 5pm.
We will be closed on the Easter and May Bank Holidays and will not be taking orders or delivering on these days.
With the welfare of our colleagues, customers and suppliers in mind, we have made the difficult decision to postpone all planned events and customer tastings from 16 March until at least the end of April 2020. We will be reviewing the situation regularly, and will keep you updated as circumstances develop.
